The online housing application 和 dining plan selection 过程 for incoming fall 2024 first-year 和 transfer students will begin at 4:00 PM ET on 2024年3月15日.

All newly admitted 皇冠投注网 students must fill out the housing application regardless of whether they plan to live on campus or commute from home. First-year students may be placed in one of two different residence halls: 欧文顿的房子 和 Residential College (ResCo). Depending on the number of transfer credits, transfer students may be placed in one of the following residence halls: 欧文顿的房子, Residential College (ResCo), 费尔文的房子, 公寓村, 南校区, or 皇冠投注露台.
All incoming first-year students are guaranteed a room on campus if an 注册订金 is submitted by May 1. Enrollment deposits are fully refundable through this date. 请注意, your $500 注册订金 must be submitted 和 过程ed in order to access the housing application. Once the application opens, students will typically gain access to the housing application within 72 hours of submitting an 注册订金.

住房 assignments are made r和omly based upon the room preferences selected on the housing application. If a student’s first preference is unavailable, the system will move through the list of preferences until a placement is made. 住房 assignments 和 preferences are not based on when students pay the 注册订金 和/or complete the housing application. We do encourage first-year students to pay the 注册订金 和 complete the housing application before 2024年5月5日. Applications received after this time will be given secondary review.
Roommate matches are made using our online roommate matching system, which calculates a percentage match based on the personal preferences selected on the “Roommate Profile” page on the housing application. These preferences include questions such as, “On an average weekday, what time do you go to bed?” 和 “How orderly do you prefer to keep your living space?” Mutual roommate requests made prior to mid-May will receive priority consideration during the room assignment 过程.
Changes to the housing application, including roommate requests, can be made until June 1. 住房 和 roommate assignments will be communicated beginning July 8 to students who have an 注册订金 和 completed housing application on file by 5月5日. Assignments for students who complete the housing application after 5月5日 will be communicated on a rolling basis after July 8.

Included in the housing application is an option to select a preferred dining plan. All students living in a 皇冠投注 residence hall are enrolled in a Residential 餐厅 Plan. 餐厅 plans include meal swipes as well as Flex Dollars that can be utilized at retail locations on campus. Students who intend to commute must still complete the housing application to seek approval outside of the 皇冠投注网 Residency Policy (listed below). All full-time undergraduate students are required to live in University owned or operating housing for six academic year semesters except those who are: a) commuting from 和 residing full-time in the primary residence of their parents, legal guardians or legal relative in their permanent/primary residence which is within 45 miles of campus; or b) married or civilly unified 和 residing with spouse; or c) are a legal guardian of a child 和 residing with said child; or d) are a military veteran with 2- years of active service before enrollment; or e) if they enter with a minimum of 60 credit hours earned after completing high school at another accredited college or university that will be transferred 和 accepted by 皇冠投注网. Study abroad/away is considered a semester living on- campus. 转移 students must live in 皇冠投注 owned/operated housing unless they meet one of the criteria above.
All campus housing includes both room 和 required dining plans with the exception of the apartment communities (南校区 Apartments, 皇冠投注露台, 和 公寓村). Apartment community residents may purchase community-dining plans through the link on the 皇冠投注 餐厅 page. All room 和 board contracts are academic year agreements.

Each Chapter has a room 和 dining contract that is consistent with their national/international office. Greek chapter housing is considered on- campus housing for continuing sophomore 和 junior students. Some chapters may require seniors to live in their chapter house. If a Chapter house does not have space for all affiliated sophomore 和 juniors students, they must live in 皇冠投注 owned/operated on-campus housing. Chapters do not release students to off-campus status.
The University reserves the right to enforce any restrictions or regulations necessary for the general safety, welfare of residents 和/or the maintenance of its property. Under certain conditions, students may apply for a special exemptions to the Residency Policy. If provided an exception, or living off- campus as a senior student, all are expected to adhere to all federal, 状态, 和 local laws as well as the Student Code of Conduct of 皇冠投注网. Students living off- campus or commuting from home are 皇冠投注网 students 和 must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct.

每年在皇冠投注, 60 to 70 percent of our first-year students are paired with r和om roommates by Residence Life staff using information obtained from the intentional lifestyle preferences 过程 found in the online housing application. If an incoming student does not have a preferred roommate, the housing management system will match roommates based on similar lifestyles 和 preferences from the housing application. While we do accept mutual roommate requests, we find that roommates matched by the system based on lifestyle preferences listed in their housing application have more successful roommate relationships.
Roommates are assigned without regard to race, color, 宗教, 信条, 国家的起源, 残疾, 军事地位, or sexual orientation.
Gender-inclusive housing allows for individuals to reside in the same space, regardless of biological sex/sex assigned at birth. This policy has been developed to better provide a supportive environment where all residents can feel safe in their housing assignments with respect to their 性别认同 和 性别 expression. All students in the room must opt-in to the Gender-Inclusive housing option to live together.
This means that students with any 性别认同 or expression may live together in the room or suite/apartment. This includes cis性别, trans性别, nonbinary, 和 性别-fluid individuals.
If you opt in to Gender-Inclusive 住房, you may be matched or placed with other individuals who have opted in to Gender-Inclusive 住房. This is not limited to individuals within your current housing group – any person opting in to Gender Inclusive 住房 can be assigned to a Gender Inclusive Space.
There are no additional forms or requirements needed in order to create a 性别-inclusive group.
Approximately 18% of on-campus residents participate in Gender Inclusive 住房. 5% of first year students participate in Gender Inclusive 住房.
